In a commercial or industrial building, it is important to avoid dirt and moisture damaging carpets or floor coverings elsewhere in the building.
Contract or barrier matting is ideal to protect your floors, particularly in entrance areas of other areas where you experience high levels of foot traffic such as lobbies, stairwells, vending, canteen and lift areas.
When correctly specified and installed, an effective matting system, will help to:
Most commercial buildings install barrier matting in entrance areas but there are many other areas where matting may provide the right solution. From low-cost, loose-lay matting to premium quality, multi-part fitted systems, we can advise you on the best option to suit your needs and your budget.
Broadloom carpets for commercial and industrial premises offer a wide range of high quality practical surface coverings from hard wearing, heavy duty carpets suitable for high traffic areas such as corridors and lobbies through to luxurious carpets for board rooms or executive offices.
From standard backing to impervious backing for specialist use such as care homes and available in a myriad of colours, patterns and depth of pile, there is a carpet to suit all tastes and requirements.
We supply broadloom carpets in widths of up to 4m in order to reduce the number of joints. We also supply and fit carpet tiles where it is more suitable or cost-effective; for example, if under floor access is required, in very small spaces where access is difficult or a broadloom carpet too wide to be economical.
We supply carpets and tiles from all of the major manufacturers and our experienced project managers can advise you on the best choice to suit your needs.
Vinyl sheet flooring is a popular finish for interior floors as it offers a high variety of designs and colours to suit your interior design whether it is domestic, commercial or industrial.
Advantages of vinyl sheet flooring include:
A sheet vinyl floor can be a more cost-effective option when compared to other types of flooring. However, the cost of a sheet vinyl floor is directly related to its quality; cheaper vinyl flooring is usually poorer quality whereas top quality vinyl sheet materials are much more durable and last much longer.
Low-quality vinyl flooring can last for as little as 10 years whereas while top quality vinyl floors can last for 30 years or more. Vinyl flooring has a wear layer with the more expensive vinyl materials generally having a thicker wear layer than the cheaper versions. At the top of the range is homogeneous vinyl sheet flooring which is a single, solid material – effectively giving a 100% thickness ‘wear layer’.
Whilst sheet vinyl is suitable for most flooring projects, we also supply and install vinyl tiles which may provide a better solution under certain circumstances (such as very small spaces with access issues or avoiding waste on sheet vinyl). We also supply and install a range of rubber flooring materials if required.
Proper installation of sheet vinyl flooring is essential and requires a high level of skill and training. We have over 30 years’ experience in installing vinyl flooring so you can rest assured that any flooring we install is completed to the highest standards possible.
Sheet vinyl products each have their own factory-approved compatible products and installation guidelines as adhesives, sub-floor treatments and seam-sealers are not always interchangeable between different types of vinyl.
Our installers are trained to the highest standards and we guarantee that our installation work is free from defects or we will replace the flooring at our own expense.
Help choosing the right product for the right job
Our experienced project managers are on hand to help you select the right product for your budget and your requirements.
Heavy duty linoleum (also known as lino) is durable, hard-wearing and water resistant so is great for areas with a high footfall and potential spills – perfect for a kitchen or canteen area, around vending machines and in hospital wards.
One of the reasons that lino is coming back into regular use is that it is a natural product; this makes it the eco-alternative to vinyl sheet or rubber flooring.
It is now available in a huge range of patterns and colours and as it lasts a very long time, it’s a great investment to make.
If you need help in deciding whether this is the right floor covering for your needs, please call us and one of our experienced project managers will be pleased to advise you on suitability, patterns and colours.
We have been installing specialist floors in sports centres, colleges, universities for over 25 years and have a vast wealth of experience in helping you choose the right materials for sports applications.
The sports floor surface is only a small part of the whole floor but it is the part that you see and actually come into contact with every day. The chosen surface will affect the whole appearance of your sports hall and will affect the performance of the players using it.
Your first decision is probably whether to select a wood or synthetic surface; a lot of people prefer the look of a wooden floor but this has higher long-term maintenance requirements so will increase the lifetime cost of the floor. When choosing a sports floor surface, you will also be choosing your ‘maintenance routine’ for many years to come so it is important to consider the intended use, materials and the required maintenance regime carefully.

Natural wooden flooring is a popular choice in some commercial or industrial applications such as sports halls, village halls and schools. It is also a popular choice where an elegant, luxurious but hard wearing floor surface is required.
Modern manufacturing methods make hardwood and engineered wood flooring a robust and long-lasting choice. We offer a range of services for the renovation and maintenance of wood flooring from sanding, sealing and re-lacquering through to repairs or full renovation and re-laying of block floors.

Whether installing linoleum, vinyl sheet or any other flooring material, a smooth, flat substrate is absolutely vital to a successful, high-quality and long-lasting installation.
Regardless of the type of floor covering material you use, if the sub-floor is not adequately prepared, the finished results will not be satisfactory – any roughness or unevenness of the sub-floor will result in an unsightly surface and uneven wear on high spots. At its worst, poor preparation can lead to blistering and cracking making a complete replacement the only option.
We are fanatical about sub-floor preparation to get the best results – clean, level, dry, structurally sound and smooth are our main objectives.
Our sub-floor preparation services include:
Our experienced project managers are on-hand to advise you with all aspects of preparation of your sub-floor to maximise your investment in a tough, durable, high-quality and long-lasting finish.
